Man, the value of these things just collapses without that GTE.

Holy shit Supras are over priced. A minute on auto trader finds you this SC300 with a manual and almost the same mileage for 5k. CP all day on this thing.

Granted it is gold.

Not necessarily. If you want a good base to start off with, this is great. You get to save the $10,000 of the stock turbo and put your own, more powerful one, on it.

But for a car to sell on its own merit, yeah, it does fall pretty badly.

Meh. No interest in a non-turbo. It isn't original, so it's not collectible, but it's also not 2JZ swap. Whoever bought this would be doing so for the look or would end up paying more to swap it. Considering what a proper swap is going to cost and the fact a turbo can be had for around $20,000 with hunting it's not a great price.

It's CP- for me. I'd just buy an FD3.

It sure does; you have every douche who has to have a twin turbo because F&F points (they have given the Supra a bad name, a bad following, and a high price tag), along with the legendary legacy of the GTE contributing to inflated GTE prices and deflated GE prices. They did use many components, which is why the original turbo cars can handle so much power, but a GE with modified internals, ITBs, and a lightweight flywheels is a really nice inline 6. The 5 speed is pretty rare in the states as well, although it isn't necessarily better. All the same, it's a Supra, and I drool at the sight of one every time. Oh, to think my dad could have gotten this sexy beast of a GT instead of his $13,000 auto-with-paddle-shifters NC Miata.

A GE all gussied up in a 3200+ lb car is still under powered by a good bit. Anyone driving that would have nothing to saw to say about the Toyoburu twins, that's for sure.

In some alternate universe where the Fast and the Furious was never made, this car is now selling for $8000.

I have to disagree, but I am incredibly biased being a Supra fanatic since fourth grade. F&F only hides the great qualities of the Supra by burying it with a ricer following.

Are you selling this or is this a CL add? because I'm somewhat interested don't care that it is not a turbo because it has a targa roof, the second most important option (because a manual is first).
